1. Register now for the Symposium, please: Secure your participation
You can now register to participate at the Symposium 2019 (25-27 September 2019 in Zug). The final date for early bird registration is 31st of March 2019. Last year the Symposium was booked out in April. 1.100 experts from 76 countries took part at WELS 2017. We recommend to register as early as possible. For WELS 2019, the Symposium will be restricted to 850 participants.

2. Call for Proposals: Submit a proposal and share your experience and insights
Submission of proposals is possible till December 15, 2018. Contributions for the parallel program of the WELS 2019 can be submitted via the conftool platform. Different strands are established in various languages (English, German, French, maybe Spanish). We are looking forward to your submissions!

3. Modifications at the WELS 2019
For example:
  • The entire organization (Event Management) has been professionalized to enable improved and technically simplified processes for you.
  • The catering has been significantly improved so that you have no waiting time for lunch on Thursday and are offered more options to choose from.
  • The Pre-Conference and the Post-Conference as well as the entertainment program with the cultural activities are rich and of high quality.
  • There are various social Come-Togethers.

The World Education Leadership Symposium WELS is hosted by Prof. Dr. Stephan Huber of the Institute for the Management and Economics of Education (IBB) of the University of Teacher Education Zug in cooperation with VSLCH, LCH, EDK and ASD as well as various universities and partners. For the last 12 years the Symposium has been the largest international congress in Europe on education leadership. 800 experts working in different fields of practice and research from around 50 countries worldwide discuss challenges and solutions for education and schools for tomorrow. In 2017, 1100 experts from 76 countries around the world discussed what tomorrow's schools should be like in 100 speeches, paper presentations, and workshops with around 200 speakers. The conference languages are English, French and German; simultaneous translation is provided for the entire plenary program. The parallel program is either in English or German. There will be sessions in French and Spanish, too.
